HELLO! this week I got my new companion, Sister Villagran from Chile!!! She´s really cool and we had a really good first week together!
This week was really good--lots of good things here as we are trying to find new people to teach. We have recently gotten some really good referrals from the members here and one from a member who lives in another mission who works with Alan, who lives in our area. Alan is in his late 30s and he has already been baptized in many churches but has never found exactly what he was looking for. He has talked to his member friend a lot about the church and has a lot of interest. His wife is really receptive too and they have a few kids that weren´t home when we taught them. When we taught the first vision, he said that he identifies a lot with Joseph because he has the same doubts. They accepted baptismal dates and everything, but then they went out of town for the weekend so they didn´t make it to church.
Also João is doing really well--he´s sooo happy. We talked about being a light on a hill (mat. 5) and then he gave us a referral for a young couple that lives in his street. We taught them and they are receptive to our messages; they want to get married so we will work with them to get that going. It´s awesome teaching referrals with new members! João was just so excited about the church and told them just the best things about the church; it was really fun.
This week we will find even more of the elect in our area and help them to get to church! I was reading recently in Romans 10 about missionary work and how important it is to open our mouths: ``13 For whosoever shallcallupon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall theypreach, except they besent? as it is written, How beautiful are thefeetof them that preach thegospel ofpeace, and bring glad tidings of good things!.``
